Katrina enjoys a varied career as a professional violinist and music arranger, working with small ensembles to full symphony orchestras in many genres from Baroque to Latin jazz.
As a performer, commercial music engagements include national arena and concert hall tours with Dionne Warwick, The Who, Lea Salonga, Il Divo, Katherine Jenkins, Starsailor, Led Zeppelin Masters, Queen Symphonic, Love Actually in Concert, Disco Classical, and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett - this 2018 ‘Genesis Revisited’ band & orchestra tour, recorded live at London's Royal Festival Hall, is available on CD & DVD. Her most recent recording is the 2022 release of ‘The Shape of Freedom’ with Southern Sinfonia - an album of orchestral and chamber works by Greek composer Elena Pavlea.
Katrina has had the privilege of working on a number of world and national premieres of pieces for orchestra, and has performed in concert with conductors Matthew Wood, Barry Wordsworth, David Hill, and Sir Roger Norrington, and international soloists including opera singers Claire Rutter and Elizabeth Watts, harpist Catrin Finch, oboist Nicholas Daniel, pianist Peter Donohoe, and violinists Jack Liebeck and Jennifer Pike.
Other recent engagements include performances with Michael Ball, Ruthie Henshall, Sheridan Smith, Jason Manford, Aled Jones, and Russell Watson, and Madness’s 40th Anniversary Concert in London with orchestral arrangements by renowned British film composer David Arnold.
As arranger herself, Katrina’s latest project has been on the newly-released album 'Postcards From Brazil Volume Two' by American jazz pianist Todd Hunter. Submitted for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards®, it features two tracks with string quartet arrangements: Family Tree and the duet New Beginning (Começar de Novo) with Dionne Warwick and Ivan Lins. The album and individual tracks are available on all major platforms.
